My Experience:

While watching this film, my heart would rapidly beat because it was dark and creepy throughout. No matter how many times I have seen it and if I tell myself “I won’t watch through my fingers.” I always end up doing it anyway.

About:

Based on the novel by Susan Hill.

It is about a lawyer named Arthur Kipps who travels to a house with a history that everyone in town knows. It is only known as the ‘Eel Marsh House.’ He is going to sort through the previous owner, Mrs. Drablow’s estate.

Townsfolk have given him reasons to stay away but his life has led him down the path to sort through what lies ahead. Staying in the ‘Eel Marsh House’ and being disconnected from the rest of the village starts to play tricks on Arthur.

Perfect for October:

I think this film is perfect for the month of October because it combines the elements of eerie, creepy and really good scary movie.
